OUR STORY
A CHURCH FOR OUR CITY.
Green Bay First began in 1925 with a small group of believers gathering in homes for prayer. What started with few resources but great faith became the first Pentecostal work in Northeast Wisconsin. The church met in storefronts and rented halls before eventually becoming known as The Gospel Tabernacle.
Through the decades, Green Bay First continued to grow, serve and reach beyond its walls. Missions became part of the church's DNA early in its history, and in 1958 the congregation moved to our present location on Shawano Avenue and became First Assembly of God.
Today, more than 100 years after those first prayer meetings, that same heart continues. We believe the church is called not only to gather, but to go—loving people, serving our city and helping people discover the hope found in Jesus. What began with a handful of people in a living room continues through a church committed to making a difference in Green Bay and beyond.
OUR PASTORS
MATT & KYLA MILLER
Matt and Kyla Miller serve as the Lead Pastors of Green Bay First.
They are passionate about helping people know Jesus, building a church that serves its city, and creating a place where people from every background can find hope, community, and purpose.
Their heart is to see Green Bay transformed as people encounter Jesus and begin living out their faith in everyday life.
